39 WHITE STREET

Home of RAAD founder James Ramsey, a large Tribeca loft dating from the 1860s was in a state of poor repair. RAAD stripped away the previous renovations to seek the original details of the loft, while carefully organizing functional spaces. It is an apartment that is at once an homage to the original building while also clean and modern. It is a space driven by materials, textures, and above all, James’s many disparate interests, from ancient linguistics to space exploration. Sharp functionality sets a backdrop for numerous collections, from his collected fossils to archeological/historical treasures, from his origami works to vintage instruments.
