FLATIRON LOFT

A busy, ambitious couple bought two lofts to combine in the Flatiron District of Manhattan. RAAD untangled the two messy existing plans to create a clear, functional, and flexible space. By using a limited palette of simple materials, and designing with an eye for the changing light over the course of the day, a calming, harmonious space now serves as a counterpoint for the busy lives of the clients. The loft is an exercise in soft lighting, simple forms, clean lines, and meticulous detailing.

Designed in partnership with Jae Joo.
